About Me

The US Copyright Board recently created a ruling that will dramatically increase the royalties that Internet Radio pays. Most internet radio is listener supported & often only makes enough money to cover the costs of staying on "the air". The people that operate these stations do so out of the love of music, NOT for financial gain.

The burn is that AM//FM radio pays LOWER royalty fees than Internet radio now will. How many commercials do you hear on FM radio? How many do you hear on internet radio?

Internet radio is about music. If you're a band, big or small, STAND UP and support it. Internet radio supported you. If you're a listener, contact SoundExchange in the USA & SOCAN and CRIA in Canada. Let them know how you feel preferably politely. And tell them how much music you've purchased because of music you've heard online.

Where can I stalk you?: Well so far I'm digging Kensington, The Mission, Marda Loop and any place with beer. I also like Calgary's North East. Despised by many, it's home to alot of interesting shops and places to eat. None of them possess the "too cool for school" mentality.

What's your real name: My mom calls me Mark, my GF calls me slob.

What amuses you of late?: First and foremost the fact that "shitload" is really spelled "shit load". My spell checker figured that out.

What kind of music pisses you off?Rap doods that write music about living in the hood to appeal to white doods eating KFC at the mall. Yo! it's over and pull up your pants.

Punk Rock is.... The Dixie Chicks.

Why The Dixie Chicks? Because after pissing off Bush, redneck America & getting banned from radio they came back with a song called "Not ready to make nice"

What are your goals in life? 1000 friends in Myspace & someone to take my beer bottles back.

How many beer bottles are there?. Alot. I love beer

Tell us about yourself in less than 10,000 words I started life as a baby, grew out of that, became a child, then became a teenager. Have now reached "adulthood".

I'm usually doing alot of things at once. I have two weaknesses: 1. I can't leave a beer in my fridge and 2. I can't have money in my pocket. I also pee on the seat sometimes. I hate ironing shirts. Other things that annoy me include people that tailgate me & waiting in line behind customers that get in a snit because the price is wrong by 50 cents. I also don't like white bread or any food product sold with happy looking nuclear families in the tv ad's. Oh, and I hate people that get to the drive thru and then take forever to decide. It's a burger joint for f**k sakes. The "new crispy bacon deluxe" is the same as the last 50 "new crispy bacon deluxes".

Any words of advice?Not really.
