I have no interests, nor am I interesting in any way, shape, or form. You should not even bother reading the rest of this, because I am such a completely dull person. I never talk to strangers. I avoid bars, as they are naught but dens of inequity. I don't know anything about computers, photography, music, marketing response models, or aviation. I only believe in things I can see. Humor is a waste of intellect.
... and so I can say one thing here that's true, I should point out that I have a weird and dry sense of humor.
a giant red praying mantis the size of a tiger. (or the love of my life, woman of my dreams, of course, but that's kinda OBVIOUS, right?)
Who else? Richard Feynman, Marilyn Monroe, Graham Norton, Abby Lee, Jim Morrison.
NIN, Tori Amos, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Concrete Blonde, Madonna, Depeche Mode, Carla Bruni, Jean-Jaques Goldman, Eminem, Sarah McLachlan, Gaelic Storm, The Cranberries, Enya, Cake, Tim McGraw, and Hans Zimmer, off the top of my head. Oh, and Trina and Jay-Z.
Where to begin? I'm a movie fiend, although I lean towards the romantic comedies, anything with submarines, vampires, or dragons, and action/adventures. Star Wars (all); Indiana Jones (all); Serendipity; The Hunt for Red October; 50 First Dates; Finding Nemo; Vampire Hunter D; Amélie; The Italian Job; Killing Zoe; The Professional/Léon; Das Boot; Princess Mononoke; Dune; The Princess Bride; Kiss Kiss Bang Bang; Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels; Braveheart; Legends; Labyrinth; Shrek; ... and pretty much anything with John Cusack, Jason Statham, Sean Connery, Uma Thurman, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman.. and more.
Guilty pleasures, from IMDb's Worst 100 Movies: BloodRayne, Spice World. While it's not on the bottom 100, I'd have to put Legally Blonde (and the sequel) and Bring It On on the "guilty pleasure" list, too.
Comedy Central, The Weather Channel, and whatever's on at 2:30am.
Good Omens-Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, as well as almost anything by either of them. Same for Christopher Moore... very addictive.
Also mildly addicted to Neal Stephenson. To a lesser extent, Tom Clancy, non-fiction on subjects pre-1600, Irish folktales. Also have enjoyed Terry Brooks, Anne McCaffrey, Dan Brown, Mary Stewart (the Merlin trilogy, The Wicked Day), Anne Rice's vampire books... and many others.
Heroes? Not sure. Anti-heroes, the people I most love to hate? )Nicolae Ceausescu, Adolf Hitler, Billy Graham, Tomas de Torquemada, Osama Bin Laden,
Erzsébet Báthory (aka "the Blood Countess").
I'm holding out and keeping Dubya in the "poor, pathetic, ignorant, lazy, short-sighted, small-minded, misguided oaf" category for the time being. I suspect history will prove me wrong, and he's really evil, but... for the time being... what was that phrase? Oh, yes: "Bad for America". And the Middle East. Actually, pretty much everywhere.
