Formed in the summer of 1998 in Knoxville, TN, three of the founding members still remain in this southern funk rock n' soul band. Hitch focuses on pushing the boundries of the so-called jam band mystic, by molding blues, rock, funk, and soul influences into their music. This band has created a sound to share with the masses, and their sets consist of a great blend of originals and covers. From Bob Dylan to Bob Marley, this band leaves no stone unturned. The band now has hundreds of shows under their belts, and are fully capable of satisfying the crowc and hopefully the vested interest of the venue. HITCh has rocked the house in all the major Tennessee cities, most of the SouthEast, and a short stint in Newport Beach, CA. The band consist of drummer/lead singer A.J. Eason, along with Jason Everett on bass, and Paul Gibson on Guitar, there are also plenty of special guests invited to the stage nightly, ranging from Brass players to MC's to spoken word artist. HITCh prides itself on exuding high energy, naturally dynamic, uplifting "life lyricly" positive live shows, and they do not dissappoint that appetite for fun! The band recorded their first full length album in early 2005 at Hook & Groove studios with Producer Scott Pederson and have received many accalades on it's content and character, throughout the Southeastern Region. HITCh has shared the stage with many regional and local favorites such as, The Spades, Dishwater BLonde, The Gamble Bros., Tishamingo, Mile 8, The Nattie Love Joys, and many more. So let the ROCK hit you in the chest and let the fUnk take care of the rest, Peace, LOve, FuNk, and SOUL!
