My Interests

I love surfing, karting, drinking with friends (generally not on my own). I love Hobgoblin Ale, want to drink my weight in it one day. I like just hanging out really, going out to the campus club (3Sixty whoo!) and out on the town and embarrassing myself. I have a bamboo plant named Ujio, he is my friend when I remember to water him! I used to be a trainee vet nurse so it's fair to say I have a huge passion for animals. Trying to get into le parkour, known as free running. Good fun. I write poetry, but want to be an author so I really love writing fiction. Big fan of music, can't play anything though. But I did buy a didgeridoo about a year ago for a laugh. I collect DVD's. Got over 200, and even when I can't afford food I can make a bit of cash for a good film. Mostly I just enjoy good friends, good times and good experiences. Shit how pretentious do I sound. Ah well.

I'd like to meet:

My soul mate would be nice. The late great Bill Hicks, you will never know how much you changed the world, RIP. The Dalai Lama, Alexander the Great, Sean Bean. Also, Barney the Dinosaur. Once i get close enough annihilating him should be relatively straightforward. Surely he can't run that fast! Hank Scorpio too, he is my dream boss!.. width="425" height="350" .. This film will change your perspective forever.

Music:

An eclectic mix. Currently worshipping John Butler Trio, as JB is god. Also, still madly in love with A Perfect Circle and Tool. Big Dave Grohl fan, love Foo Fighters old and new. Tenacous D are catchy, classic and hilarious. I like Creed (shock horror), as well as classics like Queen and Bon Jovi. And even older classics, the Doors, Sinatra, among others. I have a huge soundtrack collection which I find have some of the best compilations. I'm a big fan of Rage Against the Machine, System, Taproot. I also love punk, like Blink 182 (RIP), Greenday, etc. Lovin Five For Fighting and Snow Patrol. My mate Simon Andrews is awesome. I encourage you all to check out his new album. A lot of good emo out at the moment, such as Panic! at the Disco and Fallout Boy. Chillout, I love Massive Attack, Portishead and the awesome Morcheeba. I hate Sean Paul, you cannot understand what he is saying and he thinks he's the shizzo. He really ain't. Not a fan of J-Lo, and a lot of wannabe big hip hop stars. Exceptions include Dre, Eminem, Snoop and old skiil greats like Easy E, who all kick ass. Also, hate manufactured pop, most chart music. Some people sell out but do it on their own terms, I accept this about the industry. But those who change who they are to be big deserve no respect or success. Top 5 Albums that have meant a lot at various stages of my life, in no particular order: 1. Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morrisette 2. RATM, RATM 3. Sunrise Over Sea, JBT 4. Enema of the State, Blink 5. Human Clay, Creed

ALANIS MORISSETE lyrics Simon Andrews - "Far From Home" out NOW!

Movies:

This is a lil movie I made for my friends at uni. May take a while to load up tho! But be patient!Lord of the Rings trilogy of course, plus other historical films (sans Troy). Inspirational films, ones that remind you that there is good in all people, like Jerry Maguire etc. Huge Myers fan, love Waynes World (1&2), plus Austin Powers. Love Tarantino films, man is a genius. Travolta brings a lot to all films he is in. Kevin Smith is awesome, some say he's arrogant, but I think he's the most down to earth guy in the business. Everything Gary Oldman touches turns to gold. He's been everything from a rasta pimp to a prisoner of Azkaban, and he fookin rules. Christopher Walkin has a coolness no one else on the planet can emulate, I would fear him if i didn't want him as a grandad, along wid Sean Connery. As Bond he is the best, the first, and the smoothest. Gangster movies are also too cool for school, the best being Donnie Brasco (Depp is also extremely talented), Scarface (of course) and Godfather trilogy. De Niro is only just better than Pacino, but its worth mentioning. I also (secret shame) love coming of age teen comedies, if only cos i can relate to them at this stage of my life. Sean Bean is some kind of god, if only because Sharpe is the greatest television series ever created. Ever, period. End of chat. James Woods is one of the most compelling actors in the business as well, as is the magnificent Alan Rickman. I love Charlton Heston movies, though i hate him as a person (Nazi). Tom Cruise is awesome, Samuel l. Jackson is hard as nails. Used to hate Brad Pitt but he's just such a damn good actor, i can't stay mad at him. Let us not forget the masterful Michael Caine, awesome, the definitive Englishman and all his movies are great.

Television:

Sharpe is my favourite series ever, I just love it. Sean Bean rocks, and the show blows me away every time. Phew, needed to get that out of the way! Star Trek is still a giggle but the greatest and most original sci fi show ever has to be Babylon 5. Genius. I love, love, love Family Guy, since before it became 'cool' and mainstream. The evil monkey wasn't always evil!!!! .. width="425" height="350" ..Simpsons pretty much raised me, so it will always have a special place in my heart. And of course Futurama, Bender and Zoidberg are gods. Only Fools, Men Behaving Badly, Goodness Gracious Me and the awesome Big Train are some of the best British comedies ever. Simon Pegg is genius. I love Friends (but so does everyone right!) Cheers is a classic, so is Happy Days. Scrubs is totally my humour, I love it. Zach Braff is brilliant, ooh and catch the movie Garden State which he acts in and directs. Deep stuff.

Books:

The Lord of the Rings, Tolkein set the benchmark for the world, and created the best books in existence. Also, my favourite personal author, Raymond E. Feist. His Riftwar saga and anything to do with Midkemia and Tsuranuanni are epic. they are the only, i repeat the ONLY, fantasy novels that have ever come close to a par with Middle Earth. Currently enjoying His Dark Materials, awesome books by Philip Pullman. I love Bill Hicks literature, biographies or his own works. The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell changed my life. If King Arthur existed, this would be the closest story to the real thing. Historical books are great as well, as I am clearly a geek and love classics. Ah well, I'm kinda proud of myself. Ooh, theres a kiddies book I bought about a month ago. I know, sad in the extreme but read it! 'Diary of a Wombat' by Jackie French. I laughed for an hour when I read it. Fantastic.
