DUBCELONA CREW

Pioneers from the Jungle and Drum`n`bass scene in Spain since 1999, Dubcelona is an artist collective, independent records label and events promoter from Barcelona, created to support and promote electronic music styles like dub, hip hop, breaks, jungle and d&b. The collective is formed by Dj`s, Mc`s, Vj`s and music producers that have been working for a long time in the local and national music scene.
Since Dubcelona beginnings at Barcelona Sonar Festival`99, the colective has been working both in Dj sets as in the Hip Hop and Jungle/D&B events production.
Playing at the some of the most important clubs in Barcelona, like Razzmatazz, Apolo, Otto Zutz, Loft, City Hall, CCCB, Mercat de les Flors, Cube, KGB, Cyberian, Zentraus, Plataforma, Xpressing Club, Bassline Club, Breakstorm Club… and Catalonia, like La Sal, Rachdingue, Blau Club, La Sala del Cel …
Some festivals like Sonar, Electrus, Kombat Jam, Festival Tsunamimusic, Festival Microfusa, Festival de Música Viva de Vic, ElectroExpress Festival, Leitmotiv Festival, Innovation Festival “In The Sun”, Metro Club Summer Festival, Foc in Festival, Urban Funke, Drum&Bass Meeting Festival, REC Festival, Hazard Festival, Trivial Muzik Festival..
In the last few years some of the best international Dj`s have been playing at Dubcelona events, like Hype, Teebee, Pendulum, Total Science, Aphrodite, Black Sun Empire, Flow, Nicol, Shimon, Benny Page, Klute, Dresden Codex...and the best of the spanish DnB scene like Alien Kid, Cham, Gabb, Xol, Grass, Mkmilk, Turbo Hz, Frantik, Howtek, Chola, Egres , ..
On 2005 they have launched their own records label, Dubcelona Records. The first release was DUBZ.01, an album compilation of electronic music, dropping underground beats like dub, downtempo, breaks, hip hop, drum`n`bass… including their own tracks and also from others friendly and local producers. Actually Dubcelona is working on the nexts label releases, the second album compilation series, DUBZ.02, and the first reference in vinyl for 2008.
Actually Dubcelona have monthly dj residencies at Bassline Club and Xpressing Club in Barcelona, at Blau Club in Gerona.

Pioneros de la escena Jungle y Drum&Bass en España desde 1999, Dubcelona es un colectivo de artistas, una promotora de eventos de eventos de Barcelona, creada con el objetivo de potenciar y dar a conocer estilos de música electrónica que van desde el hip hop, funk, soul, breaks... hasta el jungle y el drum&bass más actual . El colectivo está formado por Dj`s, Vj`s, Mc`s y productores musicales, que llevan tiempo trabajando tanto a nivel local como nacional.
Desde su presentación oficial en el festival Sonar`99 de Barcelona, no han parado de trabajar, tanto en sesiones de Dj en clubs y festivales, como en organización y producción de eventos relacionados con el Hip Hop, Jungle y Drum&Bass.
Actuando en algunas de las salas más emblemáticas de la ciudad, como Razzmatazz, Apolo, Otto Zutz, Loft, City Hall, CCCB, Mercat de les Flors, Cube, KGB, Cyberian, Zentraus, Plataforma, Xpressing Club, Bassline Club, Breakstorm Club… y de Cataluña, como La Sal, Rachdingue, Blau Club, La Sala del Cel …

Por sus eventos han desfilado algunos de los artistas internacionales más importantes de la escena Drum&Bass, como Hype, Teebee, Total Science, Black Sun Empire, Shimon, Pendulum, Aphrodite, Syncopix, Benny Page, Mikki Finn, Klute, Drumsound, Flow, Nicol, ... junto a lo mejor del panorama nacional, Alien Kid, Cham, Gabb, Xol, Grass, Mkmilk, Turbo Hz, Frantik, Howtek, Chola, Egres …
En 2005, Dubcelona lanza su propio sello discográfico, publicando un álbum recopilatório, DUBZ.01, la primera referencia de Dubcelona Records, en formato Cd. Un trabajo con producciones propias y de otros productores nacionales que se desarrollan musicalmente entre el Hip Hop, Dub, Breaks, Downtempo y Drum`n`Bass. Actualmente estan trabajando en la preparación del segundo álbum recopilatorio para Dubcelona Records, DUBZ.02. Para principios de 2008 tienen previsto el lanzamiento de la primera referéncia en vinilo.
Actualmente Dubcelona tiene residencias mensuales en clubs Bassline y Xpressing en Barcelona, y en el Blau Club de Gerona.
