I am a German singer-songwriter with an overactive and often dark imagination, a love for roleplay and oriental dance, as well as a fascination with medieval markets and traditions.
I recorded my first album Bardensang (translated: Minstrel's Song) unplugged - in accordance with longstanding singer-songwriter tradition. For my follow-up Rabenflug (translated: Flight of the Raven), however, I succumbed to the lure of rock 'n' roll glamour and traded in my acoustic set up for a full-on electric live band. In addition to my original folk influences, the sound of Rabenflug has clearly been shaped by rock and goth - not least because of the input from RIG from JANUS and the guys from UMBRA ET IMAGO and SALTATIO MORTIS.
Now that I've found my live band I've realised the sky's the limit... and even that may not be able to hold me back for much longer...!
In my few waking hours that I do not spend making music, I write fantasy novels and study psychology at the University of Heidelberg.
I often get asked how someone can get hold of my CD. At the moment that's not quite so easy if you're outside of Germany as my music is not widely distributed - YET! But you should be able to get hold of a copy here:
