I believe in loyalty, whether it's to a friend or a "significant other"; without loyalty and trust, there is nothing. I follow a strict code of honour. I care nothing for religions, or races. I "hate" everyone equally, except for the people I care about. And that select group comes from several walks of life: black, hispanic, white, and oriental; monotheist, polytheist, and atheist... they're my friends, which is to say, my family.
I always give a person a certain amount of trust, and see what they do with it. If they treat it well, I give them more. If they treat it poorly, they become one of the faceless masses of humanity again.
I am sometimes jovial, and at other times brooding. Depends on the day I'm having, and what memories are closest to the front.
My father is Welsh/Scottish, my mother was Irish {killed by english soldiers}. Needless to say, I pretty much dislike the english more than anyone else. I was in the army for nearly eight years {out on a medical, picked up some hand-grenade in my back}, and am from a military family... which had to give up its titles to live in this country. Some of my relatives over seas look down at us a bit for that, but... we gained a lot as well.
I spent quite a bit of my life in Japan, and was also adopted into my sensei's family (he and my father were best friends in the Marines). I think I've done a pretty good job of blending my Celtic heritage and my Japanese teachings into a single package.
