What are you waiting for? Life keeps moving at the speed of light!

About Me

I am Becky.
I am messy, complicated, emotional, often moody, compassionate, opinionated, kind, sometimes thoughtless, sometimes lazy, always busy, and way, way too much for my own good! I am a young(ish), but devoted wife to Lonnie, and mother to Cole (8), Sydni (5), & Zoey (3).
I have been very happily married to Lonnie for nine years. I met my husband in the Army, while stationed in South Korea.
I can say, without a doubt, that true love does exist.
I am constantly working on being a better wife - a Godly wife - serving my husband as his helpmate in this life. Submitting to him is something I struggle with from time to time, but in the end, I have to trust God and let go! My wifely model is the Proverbs 31 wife. How I wish to be like that!!!
I stayed in the Army until 6 months after my son was born, and my contract was up. I worked for a couple of years as an executive admin, and then after the birth of Sydni, I became a stay-at-home-mom and I LOVE it! It's definitely my dream job, even with its ups and downs.
I have many varied interests, and dreams. I would love to be a published writer some day, among other things. But for now, my goals are family focused.
I am a Christian, and a proud one. It doesn't matter to me what you believe or don't believe, I love you just the way you are. You might have noticed my url is witchychic. I am sorry if that bothers you. I grew up in church, got burned very badly, and explored lots of religions in my late teens and my 20's (for the most part). I decided to become a Christian again a couple of years ago, but my url cannot be changed. I have a great respect for the religions and beliefs of other people and cultures, and I do not tolerate hate messages, ignorance or judgment of others. That's not my job on this earth, and it's not yours either. Love your neighbor, whoever he/she may be.

My Interests

"But let them have tales of the imagination, scenes laid in other lands and other times, heroic adventures, hairbreadth escapes, delicious fairy tales in which they are never roughly pulled up by the impossible––even where all is impossible, and they know it, and yet believe." ~Charlotte Mason
Homeschooling is probably my top interest right now. It's funny how your stage in life really dictates your interests! I am using the Charlotte Mason method for educating my kids. I love it so much. They love it so much. It really is the gentle art of learning. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me because I can talk CM all day and night it seems. Great books, nature study, art, music, poetry and more. :-)
You can visit my homeschool blog here:

I love to read, crochet, go camping, hiking and shopping. I stop for chocolate, anytime, anywhere. I also love the internet and I spend way to much time on it. :-P I love having dinner parties, spending time with friends and family, and doing yoga when I get the chance.
I would love to learn how to sew better, and I have a new love for Japanese craft and sewing books. I just got one for Christmas that I am dying to try out.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus (someday soon!), Charlotte Mason, old friends, new friends, homeschoolers, awesome moms/dads, crocheters and anyone else that might have something in common with me.

Music:

My BFF just turned me onto Sarah Kelly who is an awesome Christian singer. Woo hoo! I also love Casting Crowns, U2, Alicia Keyes, Boyz II Men, Voices of Theory, Incubus, Nickelback, John Mayer, Bare Naked Ladies, Mercy me, Newsboys, Barlow Girl, Keith Urban, Shania Twain, John Michael Montgomery, Rascal Flatts, SheDaisy and the list goes on and on and on.

Movies:

Pride & Prejudice, The American President, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Notebook, The Matrix trilogy, The Star Wars series, The LOTR trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, Deliver us from Eva, Gone with the Wind, The Quiet Man, Sweet Home Alabama, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and again the list will go on and on and on!

4H Camping Trip...

The camping trip was a lot of fun. The site was right next to the highway, so that did detract from the notion of getting away from civilization. But, the scenery was lovely, and the creek provided ...
