Sandra & Thor

You are only as old as the men you feel. That makes me 30!! Yay!

About Me

I'm originally from a little village in Nova Scotia called Monastery. Yes, that's right. Where the monks live. And yes, there is an actual monastery there with real monks. Monastery is about 20 minutes east of Antigonish (Anti-go-no-where / The 'Nish)
I am a 57-Heinz, which is to say, I have mixed ancestral blood: Scottish, Irish, French, Mi'kmaq (Metis) and Spanish (there is a chance of Wampanoag as well - see Squanto/Pathfinder) Every where I go someone says they know someone who looks like me... I have yet to meet these people myself.
I love to travel. I've been to Costa Rica, London (England) and Paris for fun; lived in Florida for 2 years (Go Gators!) and visited various Eastern states and Canadian cities for work. I used to breed exotic pets - chinchillas, hedgehogs, degus, sugar gliders, bushy-tailed jirds, dwarf hamsters, short-tailed oppossums, etc.
I've slept in a van overnight while traveling with friends waiting for an amusement park to open and I've stayed at the Hotel du Louvre while traveling with co-workers. I've eaten sloppy, greasy Big Macs while cruising the I95 and I attended a reception at the Tower of London and dinner on a cruise on the Seine. I've curled up under a blanket with my dog, eating PB&J or KD doing a movie marathon and I've taken a day excursion in Costa Rica that entailed me doing a zip-line in the canopy, horseback riding on the side of a volcano and a hot mud bath and mineral spring soak. I enjoyed it all.
I love to dance, I love music and I love movies. My tastes are quite eclectic and my fave music/movies can change at any time. Anything sexy and/or gets me thinking. However, if it doesn't get ya thinking...it's not sexy.
I'm a taurean so yes, I can be very stubborn but I'm also willing to listen to other peoples' point of view. I'm open to new ideas and thinkers outside the box(ers).
I'm a sensualist...that means I like to feel, taste, see, smell, hear, experience things. But over doing it can desensitize you - perhaps that is why my tastes are eclectic.
Turkey and all the fixin's is my favorite meal, especially the way my Mom makes it. Mmmmm...Mom-food. My Mom is great at home-cooked meals!
My Dad is a computer "geek", as are my two big brothers, my Mom is an artistic housewife - so I've developed my love of databases and sciences from Dad, my love of everything else from my Mom.
My eyes are green most of the time, however, when the sun is real bright they can turn blue. They turn neon green when I cry.
Okay, now it's your turn...

My Interests

Visit I Remember Love

I'd like to meet:

Pets, pet owners, musicians, poets, lovers of life, other members of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).

Your True Love Is an Aquarius
Why you'll love an Aquarius:

Independent yet devoted, you'll appreciate the unique approach to love Aquarius takes.
You both see love as a bit of a game, and Aquarius will challenge you until you're completely hooked.

Why an Aquarius will love you:

You're secure enough to give Aquarius tons of space - even if it means separate interests and friends.
You have the brains to keep Aquarius engaged and curious. And the passion to change the world together! What Sign Is Your True Love?

..

Music:

I love all kinds of music from Andrea Bocelli to Joss Stone to ACDC to Keith Urban. I like to hang with musicians and artists. They are such a blast - at times tormented, other times fun, yet surprisingly insane and lucid at the same time. Here is the site of a friend: http://www.jenniferrocksthemic.com/

Movies:

Did someone say movies? Well butter my popcorn, throw on some nacho sprinkles, and buy me a ticket! I'm there! I like almost all genres of movies with the exception of extremely graphic horror - some internal workings of the human body should not be seen by me! Favorite movies: Highlander (original), Love Actually, Serendipity, Fight Club, Unleashed, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, It's a Wonderful Life, The Fifth Element, Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Forrest Gump, 300, Swept From the Sea, The Crow, Pitch Black, Underworld, Pathfinder, Beowulf (3D),The Emperor's New Groove, Monsters, Inc., Lady & the Tramp... There are way to many to name here, actually, and you have a life to get back to.

Television:

Yes, please!!! Hi! My name is Serendipity and I'm a tv-aholic. Can't help it..always been. I currently like House, Heroes, Big Love, Californication, Supernatural, Lost, Family Guy, Smallville, The Simpsons, Rome (sadly now over), SG Atlantis, The Big Bang Theory... There are others but you get the idea.

Books:

Anything by Wilbur Smith. I also like Piers Anthony, Douglas Adams, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Morgan Llewellyn, Pauline Gedge, Neil Gaiman. I enjoy National Geographic, Discover, Archeology & Shape mags- sorry, no Cosmo here!

Heroes:

Christopher Reeve, Lance Armstrong - they both over came obstacles to reach for what they wanted. David Suzuki and Albert Einstein- how sexy are their brains!? Those under appreciated every day people who work behind the scenes to insure a better life for others. Advocates of animals, however, not so much the zealots. I believe that the seal population needs to be reduced to insure future fish stocks however there has got to be a more humane way!! And who actually believes that releasing animals into the wild that have never known a day outside the cage will survive out there??? Back when I was the only local chinchilla rescue I took in a chinchilla that someone had let go in the woods. I think I actually saw joy in his eyes when I cleaned him up and put him in his new cage.
