MySpace LayoutsI'm Scott. I'm in the Navy. I fly on helicopters, and no, I'm not a officer. You can fly in the Navy without being an officer. I Crew Chief a big helicopter called a Sikorsky MH-53E Sea Dragon. I also a Fleet Replacement Squadron Aircrew Instructor, I teach the up and coming Naval Aircrewman how to safely crew chief as well. I have been in the Navy for over 6 years. I spent the first five years in as an AE (Aviation Electrician's Mate) and this past December I had a forced rate conversion to an AW(Aviation Warfare Systems Operator) I distance myself as much as I can on my off time from the Navy. In my off time I keep fairly busy. I am a private pilot, and I'm working towards a flying career outside the Navy as a pilot. I was offered my first flying job a little over a year ago flying drugs back and forth to Connecticut, but I declined (true story!) That wasn't the type of flying I had in mind. I'm in the midst of begining a homebuilt airplane project of a Sonex Ltd 120hp 2 seat home built airplane ...With a Cowling Mod...Possibly Jabiru 3300 Powered (www.sonexaircraft.com) which I hope to have completed by 2015 (If I had the all money it will be completed as soon as 2009!) I also enjoy other recreational activities to include hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and a few other things. I also have a little dog that I call "Butt-Pie", but his name is Finley. I'm doing what I can to better my life and my future. I've been doing some investing and I'm in college trying to finish up my degree. Its going slow, I'm only doing one class at a time, but its coming along well, I should have my Associates degree by the end of next year. I'm in a very stable and pleasent relationship with my long-term girlfriend Gretchen. Its been fairly blissful with her, not a lot of drama which is just fine by me. I've been with her over a year, no plans to marry or to start a family just yet. Life is good!..
