The Festival of Dead Deer

The Festival of Dead Deer was a three piece rock & roll outfit that existed from roughly 1995 to 1998. Although having such a short life span, no studio recordings, and one line-up change (Dylan Gordon replaced Chris Hafner on bass)we seemed to make an indelible impression on people everywhere. Our music was as honest and raw as it could have possibly been. The four of us grew up in Los Angeles and were skateboarding and playing music together early on. Music, especially was our main escape from the dismal realities around us. Broken homes, group homes, no homes, and a "scene" that would not have anything to do with us was just a part of the equation. Some substance abuse too ! To make a long story short we were fucked up, pissed off kids who just wanted to rock! -Mike Crain
