About Me

****ATTENTION**** ((THIS IS A TRIBUTE PAGE! THE BAND HAS NOTHING TO WITH THIS!)){Biography}One of the greatest and most criminally overlooked bands from the early 90's Seattle area music scene. They formed in 1991 in Tumwater. A small town close to Olympia, Washington. Originally a trio consisting of vocalist/guitarist Justin Trosper, bassist Vern Rumsey and drummer Brandt Sandeno. The band released two singles for Kill Rock Stars and one for Gravity Records before recording an album in early 1992. Sandeno left the group in July, which stalled the release of the self-titled album until 1995 when it was released on Unwound's own label Punk in My Vitamins. Sandeno was replaced by Sara Lund. A native of Bloomington, Indiana and a former member of Witchypoo and the Belgian Waffles. This trio would go on to record six full length albums. (The last one being a double disc, that was recorded by the band themselves.) Plus a slew of 7" and 12" record's. A very creative, experimental, always evolving, musical creature. They are sorely missed by many.****************************** |||DISCOGRAPHY||| Self Titled (1992) Fake Train (1993) New Plastic Ideas (1994) The Future of What (1995) Repetition (1996) Challenge for a Civilized Society (1998) A Single History (1999) Leaves Turn Inside You (2001) ****************************** A message from Mr. Vern "Red" Rumsey. I want to say thanks to everyone who has left nice comments. Unwound loved playing and everything everyone has said to us personally and on this site means a lot to all of us. Playing music was number one, but fans and friends were number 1.5....and I have three new words. Fucking Tube Amps.
