Life is all about developing relationships. I seek out people with integrity and passion similar to my own and enjoy opening up opportunites to work and play together. I believe that what I think and do is who I am, and what I visualize is what I will experience. So I've been training myself to open up to positive energy and reciprocate that which I receive. I'm smarter than you think I am, and probably have a better handle on things than you do.
There's something really fulfilling about doing and saying things on purpose all the time, and I feel like I'm working toward some kind of clarity and substance that I've not experienced in this life.
Music is the sun my planet revolves around. Beside my solo stuff, I'm in a band. It's called the Moderna Complex. Like any creative project, it's a constant process of integrating the dynamics of very different people with different aesthetic visions toward cohesion. This is the best project I have ever been in and the time I put into it, as well as the bond between myself and my band members are sacred. The ultimate reward of taking the stage with people I love and respect is worth every ounce of effort, and there is nothing in my life I enjoy more than nurturing collaborative creativity in the medium of live music.
Lately I've been spending time helping other people fulfill their own creative vision. Whether it's helping out by making a flier, handling a couple of phone calls to synchronize a bill, give some advice on a rough situation, or making a few songs on a Sunday afternoon, I lend my energy whenever possible to the momentum of people or projects I believe in.
I work at Euphonix Inc. M-F and bartend at Ninja Sushi in Gilroy on Friday and Saturday nights.. The rest of the time I exercise, sleep, read, and chilllll......
If there's anything I've learned in 29 years it's compassion. If there's anything I need to get better at, it's humility.
