Check out WAITING FOR SULLY ACOUSTIC!!!.
Waiting for Sully was formed in the fall of 1999 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Over the last few years there have been various line up changes, but the WfS sound has remained the same; fans often describe it as “emo with a rock edgeâ€. However, it’s impossible to pigeonhole these suburban rockers that have had such eclectic influences.
Prior to Waiting for Sully, the four members have played in numerous multi-genre bands including The Radiation Kings (Ska), The Tile Renters (Rock/Reggae), Hotter Fire (Reggae), Squee (Alternative/Rock), The Porn Stars (Hip-Hop), & Hysteria (Punk Rock). Despite the wide range of experience, it is clear that WfS remains true to their early 90’s alternative/grunge heroes, while adding their own mix of melody and heartbreak.
Over the last few years, Waiting for Sully has played gigs throughout New England and has developed a cult-like following. The group’s music has also been featured on the soundtrack of three highly acclaimed independent films: Wasteland, Freedom Park, and Lame. Waiting for Sully prides itself on the ability to fill any venue it has played in the last two years including the Continental (NYC), the Funky Phish (Long Island), Copperfield's (Boston, MA), Tammany’s (Worcester, MA), the Lucky Dog (Worcester, MA), Toad's Place (New Haven, CT), and CBGBs (NYC). The group has also found its niche among college crowds having played at Villanova University (PA), Tulane University (LA), Clark University (MA), Quinnipiac University (CT), RPI (NY), Bates College (ME).
