I was a police officer with the Metro Police Department's Emergency Response Team before joining the CTU Washington/Baltimore Domestic Unit. After working there for a time, I was assigned to the CTU Los Angeles Domestic Unit as a Field Operations agent under CTU Field Ops Director Jack Bauer. i won honors in the MPDC SWAT Competition Tactical Shooting events and commendations in weapons knowledge and field reconnaissance. I am also a graduate of the Special Forces Operations Training Course.I was Jack Bauer's partner, and hunted the Cordilla virus. During the course of action, I was shot once in my hand and, later on that day, lost my hand because I attached a viral container to it, the purpose being to stop the virus courier.Three months before these events, I began dating Bauer's daughter, Kim. When Bauer discovered this, he was most displeased, but as the season wore on, Bauer came to terms that his daughter was her own woman, and I was my own man. The relationship came into stormy waters when Kim discovered that I had an illegitimate daughter, but we worked our differences out.I quit CTU and joined a private security firm so that I could have a family life. Kim and I live together, and are raising my daughter, Angela.
