It's so Pretty!

About Me

A few tid bits: Jaywalkers and people who run red lights drive me nuts. I have a backyard but don't know how to garden. I am currently on a simultaneous Buffy AND Battlestar Galactica marathon (geek out). I hate getting my haircut because I always freak out about it and miss my old hair for like 3 weeks. I have a very good sense of smell so don't come around me all sly and gassy because I just might call you out on it. I would like to teach my dog to say "I love you" because I know it can be done...he's just stubborn. Sloths always make me smile.

My Interests

my bratty pit bull, vintage furniture, mexican food, people on the subway, wine, pop culture, old books, unfortunate pondering, smells (especially if I can't figure out what the smell is), my friends, beef is always good, weird looking feet (they kinda horrify me but I just can't look away), stories that make me laugh out loud, teeth, violets, rearranging furniture, cheese, anything themed, Mexico, lately beards.

I'd like to meet:

....a guide to help me when i get lost......

Music:

the Beatles, the Cure, Jawbreaker, Willie Nelson, the Shins, the Faint, the Smiths, the Cars, Tom T. Hall, the Clash, Prince, the Epoxies, Pixies, Blondie, Dusty Springfield, Moving Units, Buzzcocks, the Pretenders, Andrew Bird, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Neil Diamond, Marty Robbins, the National, Dolly Parton, Flogging Molly, Wolf Parade, Neutral Milk Hotel, David Bowie....Warm Leatherette was a big favorite of mine as an angry teen and I will still jump up and dance to it on the rare occasion it is played in a club (usually I have to request it).

Movies:

Valley Girl, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Charlotte's Web, Liquid Sky, Nightmare on Elm Street, Secretary, Evil Dead, Urban Cowboy, Delicatessen, Bring it On, The Shining, Babe, Serial Mom, Gease, Me Without You, The Hunger, Nightmare Before Christmas, Desperate Living, Ordinary People, Shakes the Clown, Grey Gardens, Labyrinth

Television:

Buffy, you'll be missed. It was the only show I HAD to watch. The Amazing Race, Battlestar Galactica, Days of Our Lives, 30 Rock, ER (I feel like my sister and I are the only people keeping that show on air). I'm somewhat fascinated by those pube-eating gals on Rad Girls. Any educational show on monkeys will stop me from channel flipping.

Books:

Liars Club, Running With Scissors, Slammerkin, What Girls Learn, Harry Potter Series, We Hate Everything but Boys, I'm with the Band, Odd Index, Retro Hell, Hollywood Babylon, Webster's Dictionary (especially during Boggle and Scrabble...fun and educational), lately I have caught the astrology bug.

Heroes:

Willie Nelson
