Theatre, music, and movies. Reading. Anything artistic. Walking around my city, discovering new stuff to do. Guilty pleasure: chain restaurants and diners. I love Olive Garden. I can also eat diner breakfasts all day long, everyday.

I like Meryl Streep a lot, I mean, a lot. I like Robert Duvall, and Sean Penn. Mystic River is amazing, and the apostle, pretty damn good. I think Sam Rockwell is really cool. I think Cameron Crowe writes some good movies. I liked American Beauty and I thought Spacey was brilliant. I liked When Harry Met Sally because it makes me smile. I saw Little Children, and I thought it was really good. Patrick Wilson and Kate Winslet rock my world. Despite the what many of my friends say, I liked Crash and Babel. I like things with Dustin Hoffman, because I feel like he should be my friend. I think the film version of Glengarry Glen Ross is spellbinding. I miss Jack Lemmon.
Almost anything HBO. Why do I feel like no one talks about Big Love? That show is awesome. I like interviews, and those A&E biographies.
Tom Robbins, Salinger, Robert Warren Penn, Capote or Harper Lee, Steinbeck. poetry : Terrence Hayes, ee cummings, Sylvia Plath, Robert Warren Penn, Sexton, Creeley.
Mom and Dad, because they raised me and I turned out ok. Meryl Streep, because she's the only actress who makes me sob for no reason other than she's amazing. Oprah, because, well, she's Oprah. Hilary Clinton, because I have that prerogative and I turned out ok so I must like good people. That man who jumped down off the subway platform to save that kid and let the train run over their bodies, leaving without a scratch, because that's crazy insane, and amazing, and doesn't seem like it could even happen in real life.
