MySpace: Good War? Define victory (can you?).

About Me

I AM NOT INERT!!!!!::::::::
***
I'd like to meet creative & intelligent people.
***
***
Trust Everyone...but Cut The Cards!!!
Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable -- Finley Peter Dunne
***
***
I love meeting bright folks who are also smart enough to hang on to their ethics and imagination.
***
I appreciate clever zaniness but at the same time avoid mindless drunks and junkies.
And now, listen to this:
***
If you want to know me more in this land of MySpace then add me. I may add you back. I may delete you later; for example, if you clutter my box with too many bulletins that are irrelevant to my life. Because in MySpace, as in Life, there are no guarantees. And there is no crying. You can always try again. I do.
***
I may have asked you to add me. If this happens and it was not pre-arranged by us in person, then it's usually because I found a quality in your presentation that I felt drawn to, whether it was a song, a well-ganked layout, poignant philosophy, good writing, hilarious video, or any other sharp-witted flotsam.
***
Then again, it may simply be that you were just easy on the eye! Doesn't mean though, that I am trying to breed with you (so don't get on a high horse, or anything, ok?).
***
***
I certainly appreciate any and all comments that someone takes the time to send me even though I can't/don't always respond in kind.
***
I love music. I can be abrupt when i don't want to suffer fools gladly.
***
I spend inordinate amounts of time behind a guitar whenever Life decides to afford me the luxury of a free moment.
***
I am beginning to dabble in filmmaking with a few new friends. I like artistic statements and strong opinions. I'm not afraid to argue politics or religion-and might still share a drink with you afterwards.
***
!!!!!!This space for rent!!!!!!
***
***
One day I would like to be content for more than a little while.
***
I love my relatives even though we do not see much of each other. I will do just about anything to help a proven friend.
***
***
If you made it this far, you are either really bored or you are as obsessive as I am (so add me you fool! You know you want to.) The most important thing to remember is that life is one big BELCH. Addios.

1981, August 1: MTV was born & I was there

Much is being made in the media about MTV turning 25 years old yesterday. Although I stopped participating when Dave Matthews and rap/hip-hop (no offense, just not my taste) took over, I can honestly ...
