About Me

Like the man without a country, I was...for awhile...a girl without a band.
I used to be the lead singer of the now defunct band, Clare Quilty . Then I was the lead singer and primary songwriter for for my all girl band, The Dirty Dishes . Recently I started a new project called, Jive Katze . I'm a strong advocate in the sonic preservation of our greatest city in this country, New Orleans. Sometimes you'll see me out with a camera in front of my face instead of a microphone(if you see me out at all that is- I'm pretty damn reclusive these days). I wear a million hats yes I do, yes I do.I used to have jersey girl hair. I used to be more critical of other people. You'd think a girl who admits that she had jersey girl hair would be more accepting of other people's faults but I'm working on it. Singing saved me and I'd like to think that I dont suck at it. Ella Fitzgerald is the shit. I am convinced that Satan has come back as an industry known as the music business.
And yes, I'm as tough as I look.
Hear me sing at Clare Quilty
and The Dirty Dishes
And then there's the photography...
Check out my photos if you care to.

Roller Derby, India and other news of Jenn

I hesitate to quote Steve Miller. Not only because it's just such an easy thing to do, a typical thing to do, but also a very non-alternative thing to do. But I'm going to do just that. Because the de...
