Rooted in the remnants of both the thriving Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL rock scenes, Calling All Stars emerged from the break down of two highly influencial veteran outfits; Roam and Kaizer Soze. Formed in October 2005 when Kaiser Soze front man Jamal Hafza made a call to Cason Neill, brains behind Roam to sit in for a local acoustic jam. Thus, a chemistry began.
Their early 2006 release on Malimar Records, "White Fields" was recorded within the legendary room, Southern Tracks in downtown Atlanta, GA. by Tom Tapley . As 2007 approached Calling All Stars revitalized its line-up with the addition of long time friend and Atlanta music scene veteran Mickey Wade ( former drum technician and percussionist for Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul, Butch Walker, and former drummer for Sometimes X). A thriving schedule across much of the deep south and a nationally blossoming following have forced Calling All Stars to return to Southern Tracks in the upcoming weeks to provide their fans with yet another, but yet more mature and focused installment of unadulterated rock n roll. Set for a tenative national street release In early spring of 2007, Tapley will again be engineering the project but with the possibility of some of Atlanta's best known musicians and producers perhaps sitting in on a few tracks. "This band is about the song… the moment… and the sound," says drummer Mick Wade about the mindset of Calling All Stars.
