About Me

Soul Inviticus: Art Gallery, Performance Space & Cultural Kick In The Ass
WHAT IS SOUL INVICTUS?
Soul Invictus is a collaborative community of artists crossing all disciplines, who have come together at this critical time in history to create art, foster community, break down barriers, counter censorship, redefine gender, build bridges and become a catalyst for communication and change. The physical location of Soul Invictus Performance Space & Gallery, is 1022 NW Grand Ave., in downtown Phoenix (just South of the Paisley Violin). For more information on Soul Invictus, check our schedule on-line at www.soulinvictus.com.
"I'm a little bit anarchy. I'm a little bit rock 'n roll. I'm a whole lot of trouble, but only for those who can't stand art without boundaries, or challenges to their world views. I'm raw, uninhibited and uncensored. Some call me dangerous. Some call me sublime. I am the product of multiple personalities, each more unrestrained and volatile than the last. I am a place, an expression, a moment in time. I am the newest incarnation of the Unconquerable Spirit. And I am waiting for you..."
Upcoming Events
We'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts for our much loved sound tech/accountant/web master and jack of all trades, Miss Patti. She is doing better and is out of the hospital for the last time! Woohoo!
June 1st Friday: Paintings by Minneasota artist Patty Schaefer
6-10pm, Friday, June 6th
I’m not an abstractionist. I’m not interested in the relationship of color or form or anything else. I m interested only in expressing basic human emotions: tragedy, ecstasy, doom, and so on.
–Mark Rothko—
Ink Ebullition is a series of work that constructs a relationship between social psychology, interpersonal relations, and art. Other basic emotions represented in this collection include: unrequited love, seduction, and stream of consciousness.
Best of all, 1st Friday's are always free!!!
And don't forget our monthly cabaret after 1st Friday, featuring:
Every 1st Friday at 10 pm and the following night at 8pm and 10 pm
