About Me

Levelhot is a hip hop group with a mission to bring the lyrical aspect to the industry without taking away from the production. Nowadays you can find an average mc on extraordinary production or the other way around Levelhot intends to show and prove that both aspects can coexist on the same track.Levelhot consist of 2 brothers, Hakim "Get-Hype" Hunter and Isa "Eastwood" Hunter. Both were born in Brooklyn NY and raised in the Bronx.Their other brother DJ Smash is an international DJ so they have been exposed to music all of their lives.After hustlin in the projects for money and drugs and doing time in prison for it Get-Hype started writing verses while incarcerated.He has battled every mc that came through the prisons he was in and won.Hype decided that he would come home and make records with his brother DJ Smash.He was released in 1993 with $40 and a file full of verses written over the years he went straight into the studio. "My verses were too long so my brother taught me the math of writing songs and i havent written a verse that was too long since then". Hype inspired his brother Eastwood who had a few verses written, to write even more with hopes of getting a record deal,but he soon put the pen down and got into production.they've been in the studio for years making demos and doing shows for free at places like Giant Step, Mix Co, Irving Plaza, Fez, Izzy Bar, Willies bar,EOW,Buddah bar,The Wave,Blue Tropix,Fox N Hounds,Hot 97 morning show with the Haters Star and Buckwild( can you find the studio gangsta) and many other smaller venues for 12 years now so all of that experience comes out in their music now. They say "they learn something new everytime they step in the booth or on stage" and take what they learn and apply it. They've been paying dues for 12 years now and doors are just starting to open up. They dont have all the ingredients for success but they got the talent and the willingness to put in the work it takes to be a success.Levelhot has been doing this for years and dont plan on stoppin no time soon so be on the look out because thanks to MYSPace they are reaching the ears of people that they have been trying to reach for years and the response is all love so its just a matter of time before these brothers achieve the success they been working for for years.
