About Me

If you're reading this, and you're not me, then all I have to say is, "Wow. What are you doing at myspace.com/tommysmeltzer? I mean thanks and all, because I really do like attention, but seriously, what brought you here? Are you seeking a little more info about a Los Angeles actor who isn't famous, but really is a full time working actor? Perhaps you Googled "stapler safety tips," which I included in this sentence just to sucker you in.
Whatever the reason, welcome. I really can't imagine why you'd want to know that I'm from South Carolina, graduated from Auburn University, worked in Atlanta as a recording engineer, actor, and radio commercial writer/producer, then moved to L.A. -to do more TV and film, sure, but mostly just to get bigger and better radio and TV voiceover jobs -but hey, I'm glad you care. Maybe you share my dream of inventing new punctuation. Are you a friend of my sister? She's always telling people I'm special.
Whatever the reason, I'm proud to have you here. Make yourself at home(page). Can I get you anything?
Perhaps you are my lovely, talented and beautiful wife, just checking to see if I've mentioned you or our fantasticly cool eleven year-old son in my "about me" section. If so, done and done! Happy 18th anniversary. Your hair looks great.
Whoever you are, whyever you're here, I thank you for visiting. I'll try to keep the place neat and ever evolving. So come back soon, won't you? -Tommy

My Interests

Living in the moment so that I don't miss the stuff that'll really matter after all the stuff I think matters now doesn't matter anymore. You dig?

I'd like to meet:

Someone who thinks I'd be great in their movie/TV show/commercial.

Music:

John Mayer, Ben Folds, Ben Harper, Fountains of Wayne, Quincy Jones, John Austin, Shawn Mullins, Brendan Benson, Lucinda Williams, David Ryan Harris, AC/DC, They Might Be Giants, George Jones, and most people who work effectively with eighth notes.

Movies:

For some weird reason I signed a confidentiality agreement years ago that prohibits me from ever expressing my favorites.

Television:

This season: Heroes, Dirty Sexy Money, 30 Rock, Weeds, Entourage, Sarah Silverman Show, Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Lost.

Books:

Anything by Michael Crichton or Al Franken. Recently I've been into Iraq war nonfiction like Generation Kill by Evan Wright and Just Another Soldier by Jason Hartley. I liked the Da Vinci Code. I also enjoy Tom Robbins and any book that bashes President Bush.

Heroes:

Jimmy Carter, Clint Eastwood, Al Franken and Hammerin' Hank Aaron.
