About Me

Texture formed in early 2002 when Billy Bryan (vocals), Garrett Smith (drums), and Allen Moreno (guitar) got together in a studio in Van Nuys, Ca. and began converting some electronic music Billy had written to fit an alternative rock format. After literally a few minutes, they knew they had something special brewing. They partnered with Vital Recordings in 2004 and began recording the Texture EP at Westlake Studios in Hollywood with Exec. Producer, Neil Christiansen, Producer, Jeremy Yeremian and engineer Pablo Munguia. Upon mix down, they realized the song, “What You Get” was a single and produced a pro-quality video to accompany it. After a year of headlining the L.A. clubs and struggling with creative differences within the band, they recruited the talents of bass player, Phil Buckman in 2006. The line up was complete! The live shows suddenly “clicked” and the music took on a new shape that is layered, complex, and most importantly, leaves a lasting, positive impression. They have since been placed in various TV shows and films and are experimenting with new ways of reaching audiences around the world. Texture is currently recording a full-length CD and seeking representation.
