Wouldn't it just be easier to say what I don't like (shredded lettuce and phone books)? OK, partial list of things I like in no particular order: Meteorology, studying disasters (as opposed to causing them), maps, Dallas Cowboys, Stars, Mavericks, sometimes even the Rangers (Texas, not NY), Texas history and culture (because we love us), local music that does not suck, defending unscripted television and analyzing it until everyone falls asleep, analyzing scripted television until everyone falls asleep again while actually already sleeping, working on my satire and general backhanded compliments, palindromes, the letter Z, writing in my silly blog, trying to figure out why anyone in their right mind would read it in the first place, and changing the station on my radio because I like pretending to be a music snob.
Jenna Fischer, Benjamin Franklin, Avery Johnson, Mark Cuban, Tony Romo (mmmm... new boyfriend...) and anyone who does not suck. And Jack Bauer, as long as he leaves the towels & cigar-cutters at home... I hear he's handy if you need a nuclear bomb defused but not so much if you NEED MORE TIME!!1!
Bowling for Soup, Mingo Fishtrap, Earth Wind and Fire, Pat Freakin Benatar, Cake, LeeAnn Rimes, Weezer, Queen, Sting, TMBG, Foo Fighters, Blood Sweat and Tears, Prince, Eagles, Martina McBride, Barenaked Ladies, Def Leppard, Boston, Bon Jovi, The Killers, and 80's George Michael, Madonna, Paula Abdul, and Michael Jackson. And JOURNEY!!1! Always in all caps... always with at least one exclamation point...
Princess Bride, Clueless, Back to the Future, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clue, Three Amigos, Strictly Ballroom, and of course the classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail.... I watch a movie about once every 3 years.
24, The Amazing Race, Lost, Survivor, The Office, Scrubs, Veronica Mars, (sigh) Gilmore Girls, American Idol, The 4400, How I Met Your Mother, Studio 60, Heroes... and any Cowboys or Mavs game I can get my eyeballs on.
My Goode's atlas, anything by Douglas Adams, nerdy books about disasters, Princess Bride, Agatha Christie, books about little known facts and how things work. I also read Time and Glamour because there are just too many hours in the day.
The 'Rents, Gabi, Pat Benatar, Chloe from 24, Pam from The Office, and Miss Alli from TelevisionWithoutPity.com.
