My name is Chad Carlson. Online I go by the name Gen, or Genmaru. Well, no one really calls me that I guess, because everyone either knows my real name or doesn't know me. Duh. But my pen-name/comic identity is Gen.
I major in Graphic Design at Eastern Michigan University. While taking classes, I am working at a carpet store. Hoping to get a new job, or maybe an internship doing something more graphics related sometime.
While I've been updating the blog on here a bit more often recently, typically I only post drawings. I however post on my LiveJournal frequently.
My Deviant Art account has been getting a fair amount of updates lately, so feel free to check out my gallery. Also check out my Comic Space account. Which is basically MySpace for comic book artists. Works pretty much the same too, within 5 minutes of joining I had 20 "friends".

I think this is my favorite animation so far. I made this for the last project in my Image Making I class. I made this with Karen from my class, and it used the theme "collateral damage". We used the green screen quite a bit, for things like Karen falling down the hill (she rolled around on the green screen, and I plugged that footage into a cartoon background).
