katie rawls baxter

i'm katie rawls baxter and this here is an ongoing project. my hope is to post a new scrap recording session every time i feel like it. (at first the plan was to post one at the end of every month, but i've never been very good with plans, so i decided against the schedule.) right now the goal is to build, edit and complete these budding songs technically. it aint gonna happen over night! anyway this most recent update was posted august 1, 2008; it's my first time recording my voice so i've been extremely nervous about it, and i already can't wait to improve because i know i can do a lot better once i shake the nerves and focus. posting not-so-good recordings seems to be good for me because it always keeps me coming back to improve. anyway i hope you'll stay with me for a while and listen as things come together. your feedback is always welcome as i know there's a lot of work to do! i gotta give some creds i to a couple of bits of covers that sort of just happened during sessions: amazing grace, waterfalls, you are my sunshine, and i think there's part of a grateful dead song too. so yeah, enjoy--and trust me: it cant possibly get any worse!! :D
