SLITE RETURN.. R.I.P Nov 2003 - Apr 2007

About Me

It all started back in October 2003 when Hodge met Woz through college. They got talking and it turned out Woz played the drums and was seeking a band at that time. This was the start of something big for the lads. Woz’s best mate Barney played bass so he was invited to join the band a few months later with Hodge on vocal and lead guitar. After many months and few local gigs the 3 decided it was time to bulk up the sound of the band doing this by the use of a second guitarist. Gav Mellor was introduced to the band on guitar duties around April time bringing the desired sound the band were trying to achieve at the time. Over the coming months only a hand full of gigs were booked due to writing commitments. In April 2006 the band hit G2 studios in Sheffield for a week to record a 4 track demo. This demo gave the band more pulling power to book gigs in better venues. Since then, through hard work, commitment and determination, the band has gone from strength to strength with developing their sound with song writing and live performance getting better and better after every show. They are continuing to make a name for themselves around Yorkshire and beyond having played with touring bands such as Disarm, Maeven and Axis Dynide. In December 2006 the band decided to carry on without guitarist Gav due to differences and hopefully will find a replacement soon. To be continued…………....................................... ........................................At the end of April 2007 Slite Return called it a day and mutually decided to go there seperate ways, all no doubtedly will join other musical projects in the future. Slite Return would like to thank the all venues who have put them on in the past and the bands who they have had the privalidge to share a stage with. Most of all a big thanku to all the fans who went out of there way to make it to gigs and make a brilliant atmosphere.

Our songs range from fast and furious all out punk rock with fast rolls, big bass and heavy distortion to chilled out acoustic and soft rock with big long guitar solos, the way rock n roll should be. With inspirations from all of the above, we are making some quality noise around South Yorkshire.
