About Me

I am in school and will be until I die! I'm on my way to getting a doctorate in clinical psychology. I'm going to be a shrink. God save us all...
I'm also pretty active in a local theatre troupe, and I used to work in pharmacy. I don't know why that last bit is applicable, but people seem to want to know.

Anyway, I love to cook for people, read, sing, and relax in what little free time I have. I'm easy going, but I'm an oddball and a bit of a ham. I'm very much an introvert, but in the classic sense. I'm not anti-social by any means, in fact I love being social. I just simply prefer more introspective activities with people I care about than a ruckus party with hundreds of people... although I can get rowdy when the fates decree it to be so. Oh yeah, and I'm a wee bit verbose...

My Interests

Volkswagens, cooking, singing, bowling, friends, talking to new people, rain, Seattle, Volkswagens, driving, reading, Alki on a rainy night, theater, making and drinking beer

I'd like to meet:

I hope people are reading this, because I'm simply looking to meet new and interesting people in the, and I do mean this, SEATTLE-ish area. This is especially true if you'd like to share a beer with my friends and I at our favorite pub.

And these guys. Definitely these guys!

Music:

The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, Marcy Playground, Charlie Z and the Lowballers, The Presidents of the USA, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Dave Mathews Band, Mr Bungle, James Taylor, The Squirrel Nut Zippers, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Sam Cooke, Tom Waits, Save Ferris, The Dead Milkmen, The Toy Dolls

Movies:

..Who am I kidding? I'm a geek. Subsequently, I like anything by George Lucas, Mel Brooks, Monty Python, or Nick Parks.

More specifically: Reefer Madness - The Musical, The Godfather (1 and 2), So I Married an Axe Murderer, Blazing Saddles, History of the World: Part 1, Wallace and Gromitt Trilogy, The Last Dragon, Fight Club, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Three Amigos, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, This is Spinal Tap, The Breakfast Club, Star Wars

Television:

Are you kidding? I'm in graduate school. TV doesn't happen! If it did, then here's what I'd watch: The Simpsons, Sifl and Olly, The Critic, Invader Zim, Family Guy, Futurama, The Office ..

Books:

Good Omens, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Catcher in the Rye, Letters From Earth, 1984, The Prince, The Screwtape Letters, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and anything by Terry Pratchett, Louis Carroll, Jostein Gaarder, or Bill Waterson, lately a lot of Mark Twain

Heroes:

Anyone who can be themselves honestly regardless of who they are around or even if they're alone. That's a real gift, being honest with yourself when you're alone. That, or either Calvin and Hobbes or Wallace and Gromitt.
