Phenomenal Woman
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The rise of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.

HER BEAUTY I BEHOLD
My pen hath not the ink,
Nor my mind the wit,
To capture here in verse by my hand,
Her Beauty I behold
Light from an endless star filled sky,
Her eyes.
Countless summer's warm gentle breeze,
Her whisper.
A thousand crystal cool mountain streams,
Her kiss.
Miles of pure white sand beach,
Her smile.
Wave after wave of crashing crimson tide,
Her passion.
Ranges of majestic snow capped mountains,
Her strength.
Deepest and widest of dark blue oceans,
Her love.
All of Creation itself fails to compare,
In the entire depth of Universe,
No single being past or now resides,
Her Beauty I behold.

In the words of a great man, "I am a terminal outsider". I am not your average, normal, everyday girl and I like it that way. BUT- deep down inside there is a southern belle just screaming to get out---sometimes she manages to get the duct tape off!!! Shhhhhhh.....
I am different in every essence of the word and I like it that way. I wear it almost as a badge of honor. I enjoys my differences almost as much as a fruitcake enjoys insanity!

I love to read. Dark horror and crime novels are my genres of choice with some of my favorite authors being Charlee Jacob,Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King to name a few in the horror realm.
I write Gothic poetry. I have had several pieces of my poetry published in several anthologies of poetry. I have also had several pieces of poetry published through the college I graduated from. I am currently working on getting my first book published through a publishing house online.
I am a mother of three. Two teenage boys (16 & 14) and one 8 year old daughter. My children are my life.
I am a fierce protector of my friends and family. As the quote goes "The most dangerous place in the world is between a mother and her child!"
