VØLKERMORD

in 1997 5 trolls from the rhein- ruhr area decided to unite and form this band. as being 5 very indivudialistic persons it took us some time to find a name, which didnt stop us from playing our first gigs with HIS HERO IS GONE and go on tour with HIBERNATION from greece in 1998. cause all of us are huge HERESY fans, we chose the name Völkermord, simply translating one of their songtitles -"genocide"- into german. the lyrics - in spanish and german- try to some kind of reflect our social / political / whatsoever views on the shit going on in our daily lives / the world. after recording a 4 track selftitled 7" @ musikzimmer records in 1999 it took us some time to record more. in the meantime our 2nd vocalist unfortunately left us, but we went on forth, playing shows with the likes of INSTINCT OF SURVIVAL, CODE 13, AMEN 81, EA 80, WOJCZECH, SICK TERROR and many many more.... at last in 2004 we released a selftitled lp on the mighty institut für mentale hygiene. in may 04 @ our record release party at the az mh we split up.... but the dead always live longer , so we re still planning to release a split 7" together with hamburgs crust dinosaurs INSTINCT OF SURVIVAL. til then...GRIND THE ENEMY!!!
