.."COF" was first formed in 1991 by long time friends Cary Auguston (guitar) and Rob Walters (vocals and bass). After countless hours of writing and practice as well as numerous guitar players, the band went out and took their music to the people. COF played all around the Seattle club scene while receiving airplay on KISW's "Metal Shop" and Z-ROCK. Also they recorded their first demo at the Art Institute of Seattle during Oct. 1992. COF continued to play live shows, 2-3 a month but after a show in the spring of 1995 the band decided to hang it up.
Fast forward to the winter of 2002, Cary, with new bassist "Big" Dave Haugh, decided to put the band back together with a more defined, heavier sound and a fresh new outlook on things. In the spring of 2006, California native Dave Bayautet stepped in to fill the position of second lead guitar. His sweeping leads and heavy rhythms will make this one of the best COF lineups yet. Prior COF was mostly a power trio but it was decided that this time they would play as a 5-piece with a stand-up vocalist. The band continues to polish their songs as well as writing new material for the next trip to the studio. COF is eager to get back playing live soon so check back periodically for show updates. As soon as a singer is found, COF will get back to playing live with plans of a tour down the west coast in the future. Check out music and go ahead and download the songs.
