About CRS-G Biography They say things are bigger on this side of Texas but for one local artist he would say, “There’s a whole lot of nothing to turn into something.” From being bred from poverty, to life in school, to growing up & maturing. One man has the audacity to make it out of the Hub City. That person is Crs-G aka “Leverage”. Born Christopher Galvan in Lubbock, TX on February 9, 1986. Now 22 yrs old, he was raised on the eastside during his early childhood. Chris’s environment consisted of numerous examples of struggle, pain, & suffering witnessed countless times. His parents Paul & Essie Galvan were kids trying to raise a kid. With their family values & issues it was time to make a change. His father at the time worked 24-7 in order to support Chris & his mother. Essie, she was raising Chris & finishing high school in order to go on to college. After moving household to household, Chris & his parents moved out of the eastside into some affordable housing apartments on the Westside of Lubbock. But know one could not have been more grateful for what happened next. Just a few short years later, his mother attended South Plains College then went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Nursing. Essie, now an RN for 16 yrs, took her family to live in her & his father a place where they spent their early childhood. His parents are still living in the Guadalupe neighborhood inside their two-story house. After moving, Chris at the age of 8 loved basketball. He started playing Mob basketball along with YFL football & Little League baseball. This continued throughout high school playing those sports. But it wasn’t till Jr high when things began to change for Chris. His grades went from perfect to just being average. All he worried about was sports, girls, and trying to look good doing those things. Along with peer pressure it wasn’t till high school at Lubbock High when everything started to slip out of his grasp. He abandoned all sports except basketball to focus & pursue his dream of playing varsity ball & then go onto the NBA. But soon those opportunities came & went. His dream was gone. He always said, “I’m going to play in the NBA, or be the biggest drug dealer in Lubbock.” With that always in the back of his head, he had to figure out his next move to stay one step ahead of everyone. Since Chris has always been a huge fan of music especially raps, he started in 8th grade writing lyrics and poems for the ladies. He & some friends went from street racing, to clubbing, to trying to rap & hustle in these streets. Unfortunately, Chris almost didn’t graduate on time but when he did he knew it was time for a change. Chris is currently attending South Plains College to pursue a degree in Sound Technology. Which consists of audio engineering, music production, live sound, and video production. Now he is currently living with his love of his life Krystal Lucio. They have had their “Up’s & Down’s” with relationship issues, to family issues, to money struggles you’re trying to survive in the real world. But things have become brighter than ever they have started a family of their own. Muzik Melody Galvan was born August 23, 2007 a blessed day. Currently Chris & Krystal have a nice house, a nice car, & are financially stable. LS.SOUTH Productions was established in 2002, & is a legitimate business owned in the state of Texas. Christopher Galvan aka Crs-G aka Leverage is the CEO of an independent powerhouse in West Texas. With success come haters, so aside of dealing with all 7 artists signed by Crs-G. Many problems from within the artists surfaced. All contracts were terminated for life. These artists screwed over Crs-G by turning their backs, trying to do their own thing, or just joined to copy Crs-G so they could use him. Not anymore, Crs-G has become a successful independent rap artist. With his pro flow & throwed production, it’s guaranteed to blow. Crs-G has started something & he is going to finish it. Since 2005, Crs-G has worked on his flow and thanks to his CO-CEO Javier Lopez aka Javi aka Phat Pockets their music has prospered with various features and collaborations nationwide. His mix tape circuit is on the rise of stardom thanks to Myspace. His profiles fans/ friends total to over 15,000+ & his tracks are averaging over 400 plays daily. Crs-G has connected with contacts, fans, & most importantly his music is being heard all over. With his latest Mix tape Vol. 3 due to drop Spring of 2008 called “TALK OF THA HUB” is expected to be very promising & will set the tone for the Hub City. The cd will be hosted by, featuring, & chopped & screwed by Kyle Lee of 3rd Degree Ent. Crs-G is on another level with his music & producing. With his knowledge of the game he has positioned himself to follow his heart & make his last dream come true. Just making money doing what he loves & taking care of his responsibilities. Crs-G has his foot in the back door of the music industry. Now what’s left is that extra push. “It’s all about who you know & how much money you got!” says Crs-G.
