J.Wright™(RIP TIM 2YRS AND IT STILL HURTS)

This 19 year old teen phoneme sensation has been on a wild ride since beginning his career at age 15. Growing up in the Midwest (Iowa), Jay Wright (J. Wright) has been on a roller coaster of lifetime. This Midwest kid got his first major break as a member of the 10 city UCP (Up Close and Personal Tour) as well as the B.E.T Wrapp it Up Tour in 2008. His song collaborations include such names as Chris Brown, Young Envy, Soulja Boy, Neyo, JBar and others. His roller coaster ride takes him back to Iowa where he continues to network, produce mixtapes, promote and create the next big single. With over 10,000 units moved in on his first album entitled “The Mind of a Hustla” his second album entitled “This Must be Wright” is well on its way to higher numbers. Ringtones numbers are well above 6,000 and counting.

One might say J. Wright is a chameleon by trade. Different tracks might sound more like club tracks than his signature “just for the ladies type songs” as he would put it. But listen a bit longer and you might get that stereotyped “gangsta rap” song but then by the end he is just rapping his Midwest style. Not a copy cat of East or West and far from a style of the South. J. Wright just wants to be known as himself. Unfortunately J. Wright AKA Mr. MySpace is now re building after hackers stole his acclaimed MySpace profile which at date had over 2.3 million plays and over 2.5 million views. Not to mention well over 150,000 fans and friends. Ask if this was a set back? “No not at all.” J. Wright says. “You can’t hold back real success and talent and it has proven a humbling experience for me. My fans and friends and important industry people know the truth and that’s what is most important to me. I will be just fine.” And indeed J. Wright will be fine.
