What leads men to art and science is to escape from everyday life, from the fetters of one's own eve

About Me

There's a bunch of stuff I do. For instance the video below (Pinkie Special Version 2)is a hybrid film/video I shot using a Sony DVX1000 digital camera and my 16mm Bolex RX5 camera. I prefer the results of the Bolex over the sony however the final results were pretty neat. I also posted a clip here from a documentary shoot I was on in Ecuador. We had just discovered a burial site that was about to be washed away by a river that expanded from the previous El Nino rains of 1998. Near the end of the clip are cool shots of human skulls. A third film posted here is of a few old school punk rockers I know from the East Village. Jiggers, Gary Wreck and Jon Gerstadt. The name of the band is Jiggers is King. I shot this with my cell phone a few days before posting it on myspace. I recorded the sound with my portable recorder. So the sound is much better than the picture. The three main things I do is I work as a sound designer and mixer mostly on feature films, TV commercials and Indie films. I am also a photographer which is what lead me to filmmaking. Photography for me is what a shrink is to most people. There's kind of a zen to it, the whole process from shoot to print makes me feel good about everything. Lately I've been venturing into motion photography and writing screen plays. I've been playing the bass guitar since I am 12 years old. As a teen I studied and practiced as much as I could. Summers were bliss. I would escape to my basement where I had all my amps and records. There I would spend upwards of 16 hours a day jamming with buddies or playing along with records. In whatever spare time I have I play guitar and shoot pictures. One of my favorite things to do is linger around Coney Island and hang around with friends...

Among the dead: Evel Knievel, Alfred Hitchcock, Grace Kelly (man what a dish), James Stewart, Tippi Hedren, Harry Houdini and Jimi Hendrix...The video below is a test trailer for a documentary I shot while on an archeological expedition in Solango, Ecuador in 1998. On July 3 1998 my group and I discovered a funeral earn containing the remains of 4 people. If you watch the end of the trailer you will see a neat collection of skulls and misc. bones. It was said during the life of these people they encountered diseases such as syphilis and possibly cancer. One of the smaller skulls found showed signs of foul play. It was speculated this skull was from the remains of a child who had their head beaten in. Also there were signs from some of the skulls that these people would ornate the shapes of their skulls by wrapping cloth tight enough that over time the heads would maintain an elongated shape. Enjoy the video!!Archeologic Dig In Solango Ecuador
