About Me

Where to start? I'm Scottish by birth, but have been living and working in Wales for over six years after working and studying in England for the best part of a decade. I consider myself to be pretty normal...which is either good or bad...depends how you look at it!

I've travelled a lot in my life, visiting a lot of different cultures and countries. That's about it, really!

My Interests

Music, scooters...my own scoot is featured on the photo page...31 years old and still going strong...I'm a member of the ACE Scooter Club now, the biggest scooter club in Wales...also I like some history, science in general...and of course, let's not forget Siberian Huskies ...we've got seven and counting! And there's this...not an interest as such, more a life choice....

I'd like to meet:

Mods, people who like scooters.

Music:

A general mix of stuff. Mod music (my first love), Northern Soul, punk and some indie. Gigs in the last few years have been the Pixies, the Vandals, Stiff Little Fingers, Dropkick Murphys, Weezer, Green Day, the Subways, Gene Loves Jezebel, Alkaline Trio, Ordinary Boys, Less Than Jake.Currently listening to the Jam, the Chords, Nine Below Zero, Purple Hearts, Secret Affair, the Who, the Kinks, the Sonics, the Ordinary Boys and the Small Faces. Last albums bought were the debut albums by the Bishops and the Anydays....very cool

Movies:

Don't really have a fave, except for the Godfather and Goodfellas...decent sci-fi is always good too...I prefer something with that requires a bit of thinking, but it's also nice to watch something brainless with a few beers. Quadrophenia as well, not for the acting (well dodgy in places) but for the vision of a time and place...just finished watching Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, which is a cracking film

Television:

Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Spongebob.....

Books:

Lord of the Rings for its sheer magic and depth of vision and imagination. Bill Bryson and Michael Moore. Just finished Earth Abides, which is a brilliant post-apocalypse novel. Most Asimov and all of John Wyndham. 1984 and Brave New World. Stuff like that...

Heroes:

Isaac Asimov, Newton, Einstein...guys like that...people who were so brilliant that they changed the world view...also Bill Hicks...if you haven't listened to him - do it now!
