where a composers noise and nu poem pop meet ...

About Me

about this project: (fem vox talking:) if i write songs...they have a chorus and a bridge and such... their centering point is usually a poem.... i am at core a writer .... by the use of a typewriter and other archaic technology i have attempted to bring the viewer into the writing of the music and the words of it as much as possible...i feel that if people are so kind to listen, they may receive added benefit from reading as well---------------------------taking this generally simple patterning of vox, piano, and performance art, stane and i are working on creating a true integration of the most fun parts of noise and notes... we are both so excruciatingly conceptual tho in strangely opposite ways that it is an artistically well-wrought piece that emerges (or so we hope) also he is fabulous on the keys and many glowing electronic interfaces live and while recording.... he samples his own tracks to make beats, and has a wide spectrum of what a musical instrument can look like...i respect that-----------it is always challenging to retain the strands of the song while thrilling in their destruction...noise-pop seems a self-imploding impossibility but we are ripping at the threads of edge to come up with some new weavings. i have been quite interested lately in playing "screamer" my first self-made circuit.bent instrument, and working in extended vocal technique---------------we have now been conjuring pieces from beginning to end, and our most recent release, a 45 second piece for a comp on Macro-Eden Records all 3/4 minute works...OH HOME IN SHADOWS is a quick listen, aleatory yet so composed----------------------------tour was great, all the cds of the series are sold or traded...and we made it back home.we have just begun another cut and paste piece, in the spirit of oh home in shadows, and we are working on a recycling sound piece out of a song i recently finished: the bike kitchen, about and dedicated to the rad place in our neighborhood that teaches people to fix their bikes.right now we are focused on a new set of songs : slave to bliss, somber unicorn, unquiet veins, the way of righteousness, as well as collaborations with our new ampex reel-to-reel noise creature. we will be recording within the next few months... and we will release fire petals in the sky as a full piece.Thomas’ Myspace Editor V4.4
