About Me

Steady State started in February of 2006 with Ivy and Anthony who both used to be in the Rogue Set, as well as various other bands in St. Petersburg and Gainesville. After playing a few shows as a two piece it was decided that enlisting someone to play bass would fill things out more. Enter Stewart, the ex guitar player for Intifada and various other bands. Steady State lasted as a three piece for a bit, but were looking to fill out the lineup again. After searching for the perfect bass player, Adam, who played in Fastplant and various other bands, joined the fray in February 2007.Steady State recorded Six songs between the months of April and November for an (as of now) untitled EP. After playing Fest VI, Steady State went on a short three show jaunt with A Death In The Family. What lies ahead? In February of 2008 Steady State will enter the studio once more to record another song, and put the final touches on a song from the first recording session. With hopes of releasing a seven song EP in the Spring, and tours sometime in the summer, the future looks bright.
