About Me

An Unorganized Militia consists of citizens prepared to take stand against foreign and domestic threats and to aid in the event of a natural and manmade disaster. We are not a paramilitary organization. We are not against the Government, the Military, or Law Enforcement on any level and for the most part we support them and if asked would work in conjunction with them so long as it DOES NOT violate the rights of any citizen. We stand for what our Founding Fathers believed in (The Constitution of The United States of America). We are prepared to defend our constitional rights against all who would TRY to infringe upon them.
The Louisiana Unorganized Militia is open to any citizen of the United States of America who is at least the age of 18. We do NOT discriminate against race, religion, or sex. WE ARE NOT TERRORIST, AN EXTREMIST GROUP, A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION, OR HATE GROUP. We are citizens who beleive in the rights of the people and who would stand against anyone who try to take them away. We believe in the freedoms of ALL American Citizens.
We dont store ammo or weapons or anything else for that matter. We believe if you have it you should be using it. No good having your weapon if you can't shoot it and hit you target. We just believe in defending our rights and yours. We don't believe anyone is "out to get us". We dont stare at the sky looking for the "black helicopters".We're in south louisiana there are helicopters in the sky constantly(oilfield).

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
---Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.
---Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

One loves to possess arms, though they hope never to have occasion for them.
---Thomas Jefferson to George Washington, 1796.

A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves ... and include all men capable of bearing arms.
---Richard Henry Lee - Senator, First Congress

"The right of the people to keep and bear...arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country..."
(James Madison, I Annals of Congress 434 [June 8, 1789])

"...to disarm the people - that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
(George Mason, 3 Elliot, Debates at 380)

"Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."
(James Madison, The Federalist Papers #46 at 243-244)

"the ultimate authority ... resides in the people alone,"
(James Madison, author of the Bill of Rights, in Federalist Paper #46.)
