About Me

When it comes to describing yourself, it is always hard to know where exactly to begin so I'll start with this... I enjoy long walks on the beach, romantic candle lit dinners at McDonalds, and yelling at the T.V. even though I know they can't hear me. In my spare time, I train horses, killer whales, and pet cockroaches. Just kidding. I don't train horses and the closest I have gotten to a killer whale is sitting in the front row at Sea World. As far as roaches, I hate them and squash them everytime I see them. You are probably reading this thinking that I am very cheesy. That's alright. Think what you like but I have come to love and embraced my cheesiness and that's all that matters. I am not like most girls. I don't like going clothes shopping or spending 8 hours in the kitchen cooking a Thanksgiving meal. But, if you love rice like I do, I could make you rice until the cows come home. I am learning to cook though so that when I get married, I can make home cooked meals for him (as long as he doesn't expect me to cook everynight. What am I? A machine? Take what you can and leave nothing behing. That last sentence made no sense but whatever. I would much rather spend 4 hours in Best Buy or any electronic store than going clothes shopping. I enjoy working with my hands and would happily put a book shelf together. Just because I don't cook doesn't mean I don't like to eat. If you want to make me a meal, I would gladly eat it. I love having fun and making a fool out of myself. You may think I am drunk but I promise I am not. I don't need alcohol to have fun. It's who I am. I am a theatre major so I am already dramatic but I like to take it to the next level. I love making people laugh (even if I am the only one laughing at my jokes.) I like to take the party with me wherever I go. I am not afraid to dance like a fool in the grocery store when a beat comes on that I like. Acting a fool and still being able to have fun is on my blood and I thank God for that. I love music. ALL TYPES!!!! The artist in heavy rotation now are Keith Urban, Omarion, Nelly Furtado, and Ricky Martin. I know these artist don't seem like something a black girl would like and that's okay. In fact one of my nicknames growing up (and even now) is white girl. Believe me, I have heard it all before. In fact one of my mottos is: I like my chocalate just like I like my men. Nice and white. In case you didn't figure it out from that last sentence, I am mostly attracted to white guys. I especially love a guy who can sing and play the guitar. I just melt like butter. I have been told many times that I have lost my "black card." That's okay because I am who I am and I make no apologies for that. I like what I like and that's me. I believe that you should be true to yourself. If you can't to true to yourself how can you be true with any other person. Always be true to yourself and never expect any less than the very best. You are worth so much more than you give yourself credit for. Be open to trying new things and you don't believe the worlds that will open up for you. Never let anyone put you down for just being yourself because they are just jealous and wish they had the courage you have to be yourself not caring about what others think. Fall in love with yourself and others will fall with you. Allow people to fall in love with the real you and if they can't handle that then that is their loss. There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left... Never SETTLE for anything LESS than the VERY BEST!!!! Now that I have rambled on, I am hanging up my towel for tonight but before I leave, I want to leave you with a parting shot. Remember that you get what you give so do unto others as you would want them to do with you. That's the golden rule.
