About Me

if you love emanuel as much as i do, i'm sure you're missing the hell out of them right now while they're taking a break from everything. despite rumors that have been flying around, they are not breaking up! what they need is your help- they need you to spread the word and get all of your friends listening to them, buying their cds and any other merchandise to pick them back up. black earth tiger was an amazing album and i cannot wait for a new album to come out, but that may not happen without help from their dedicated fans. you all shred for how far you have gotten them right now, but now you have to help them out a bit and fuel the fire.
go buy their album if you downloaded it, or if you already bought it, go buy another copy, or one for someone else. buy a new shirt, or buy a shirt for a friend for their birthday. with your help, we'll be able to get emanuel fired up and ready to make some sexy shit happen!
if you have any photos of the band- whether they're live, from when you met them, or random photos you have found- please send them to me so i can upload them into an album. also, if you have any sick videos, send them my way!
ps; if you are good with photoshop and you want to contribute banners or some awesome graphics, message them to me and i'll put them up! we need some sweet ass designs to catch people's attentions and get them to check emanuel out.
pps; this page is not run by emanuel, their official street team, nor anybody who has any personal contact with them. this page is solely being used to help get emanuel's name back out there and get them back into action!

Sounds Like: "Last night I stumbled upon one of those "featured band" things on MySpace you know, those annoying promos on the front page leading up to a band's new release that usually feature some shit screamo-core band. The blurb for the band Emanuel noted that Terry Date produced their new album Black Earth Tiger, which is out next week on Vagrant and is now available for streaming in its entirety on the band's MySpace page. Naturally I'm interested in anything Terry Date does; after all the guy's record is impeccable (5 Pantera records, White Zombie, Deftones, Soundgarden, Incubus, Fishbone, Machine Head, etc etc etc. We will overlook Limp Bizkit for now). So I clicked on through. After listening to the first song "Cottonmouth" (after an instrumental intro first track), I then proceeded to listen to the ENTIRE album. It's that good. The band lists all the right influences: Deftones, Quicksand, At the Drive In, Refused, Alice in Chains, STP, etc, and the music that ensues is exactly what you'd expect from a band that looks up to that list. And Terry Date was precisely the right choice — the record sounds amazing. Musically the band mixes Helmet/Quicksand-like heavy as fuck guitar riffing with the sound-of-punk-to-come fury of Refused. Vocally the singer sounds something like Refused's frontman cum Chino Moreno. Throw in some Mars Volta-esque swirly sound effects… man, you've got a recipe for kick ass shit. I can't get enough. Go listen now." -- Metal Sucks Magazine
