Mello / E.L.I.T.E. M.I.N.D.

Growing up on the South Side of the Chi has been a challenge to say the least, but I wouldnt have had it any other way. Although the Chi is referred to as the second city, Mello believes that its got to be the hardest city to come up in. One reason for my theory is because theirs a lack of unity in the physically most segregated city in America.Birthed Tremell Williams, Mello gained the laid back nonchalant name initially as just nickname that soon became more fitting for me than his government name. I became known as the guy that wouldnt say much unless he needed too and the cat that you could expect not to be flashy, but humble. I accredit this to a mentality instilled in him at a very early age by my OG and Pops telling me to always be aware of your surroundings, and it seemed like a second conscious to me to just be in the cut peepin the scene!!! Im still surviving the streets and the hardships of being a black man in America, but I survived the rigors of growing up with parents who were intelligent hood citizens, Street hustlers, and drug addicts. My parents separated when my mother was in the last stages of pregnancy, and my Pops caught a case that yielded him 3 years in the penitentiary. However I am grateful to see my parents struggle with their many addictions, while attempting to provide the best life possible for their son. My grandmothers on both my mother and father side of the family helped mold me into the young man that I am today. Without them I probably wouldnt even be alive to write this!!!-MelloFaced with the temptation to sell drugs at an early age like my parents, and so and so many of the Hustlers, pimps, etc that I seen in my environment shockingly I never did, well at least as far as my family knows. I was always a good academic student in school although I did my dirt from time to time. At the age of 16 I discovered music as a form of therapy, and a necessity of life. Ever sense then Mello has became so appreciative of Music that now I create it!!!!!!-Mello
