Chicago brings to the game. With rich musical history this city in many ways has been the template for the industry we see today. Chess Records, Vee Jay Records and many others were the pre-eminent Blues/Rock labels of the 50s and 60s that eventually created a monopoly of Chicago music. With hits from legends like John Lee Hooker, Etta James, Chuck Berry and even “The Beatles†showed the shear greatness
of this city at that time. Now Royal Music Group presents Renaissance as the poster child for a new era, one they would like to call, “The Chicago Renaissanceâ€.
Many have had their chance, landed major deals, but could not and did not put the Midwest on their back and shine. This Chicago native just blessed the streets with his first Mix Tape entitled “I’m What It Iz - Vol. 1â€, receiving rave reviews and creating
the buzz needed to set up his debut single “Breezyâ€. Raised in the Ida B. Wells housing projects, Renaissance found peace in writing his music and escaping the madness of the Chicago streets. He later moved west of the city to Maywood, IL. , where he bonded with childhood friends Dee Brown, now of the Utah Jazz and Shannon Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers who continued to push him at his craft. Now they and other NBA stars are some of his biggest fans. Maybe you can become one too. Be part of the Rebirth.
