The Decadent Royals (SM)

About Me

Formed amongst the ashes of the 90's grunge era, The Decadent Royals, love child of OP callaghan and Norman Kee, formed with the sole purpose of re-igniting hard-hitting, classic rock-n-roll with a touch of blues and a bottle of booze. Always willing to step-up to a challenge, The Royals have made their bones with gigs on the east coast leg of the HORDE tour, and played such northeast hotspots as Mama Kin's in Boston, The Lions Den, The Spiral, and The Knitting Factory to name a few. OP Callaghan is currently the only surviving member. OP is currently at work writing HIS third Decadent Royal release. The band's first album "The New Groovy" warranted much earned accolades from Spin Magazine and Relix, and sharing a stage with bands like Blues Traveler, Government Mule, and Ben Harper earned nationwide praise. With the release of The Band's second album "Swing On, Sinners" in November of 2005, the band is gearing up for more positive reviews. They have begun a series of Northeast shows supporting the new album, and most recently opened for Shooter Jennings and the 357's. You can purchase this CD @ www.thedecadentroyals.com.
