About Me

Originally a singer, I picked up the guitar one summer while on break from high school. Originating from boredom, I strummed my first chord thinking, "I just made that sound", and it's been all from that summer that things are the way they are. I graduated from McNeese State University with a Classical Guitar Performance degree, hoping to prolong the reality of real life with doing something that I love; and what a labor of love it has been. I also play with a great band called Fresh Nectar. Along with my colleagues and I, Dave Evans, and John Floyd, make an awesome collaboration. I hope that the music that I write will either be utilized by myself, my band, or maybe one day my son could do something with it. I'm not trying to create a legacy of vanity, but hope to provide a possible avenue for my son/family. The music I write derives from my love of beautiful chords and melodies that live. I try not to categorize the music that I write (nor do I like too). Now, I don't deny the presence of my influences, but I feel by trying to live in a category, you could hender the music from doing what it wants to do. I don't try to be something that I'm not; why let the music?

The inability to think...

This is my first time doing this, so here it goes...(was that cliche?) I feel like Peter Griffin talking about what grinds my gears, but you know it's true; I'm tired of being pissed off.  But it...
