For JAWZWA it's not about making dance music or hip-hop beats. Living at the height of creative recording technology, one must exploit it. Not merely use it. When labeling your music, do you imprison yourself within such ubiquitous barriers ex... dance, rap,shoegaze,(all genres that i enjoy)...etc..? In doing this the artist has forgone full on expression and succumbed to the establishment of yet another product. It's disheartening to see talented people who only want to be on the radio. JAWZWA's mission is to find JAWZWA's audience. Establish if you will. Although influences can clearly be sighted within the music, JAWZWA likes to think that within JAWZWA's music there is a prevelant feeling of something new being toyed with here. This experimentation is the thread that melds JAWZWA's musical curio. Without said experimentation;which makes for much looser structures, one must forgoe the illusion of considering themselves a true sound artist. If boundaries are not being pushed one is jailed within this genre and is compelled only by hit-making moolah giving the work as much integrity as the body of an automobile coming off the assembly line...
