My mother was born in Rome...so I am an
I on the other hand was born in
Although I was born and resided up north, I have spent the majority
of my life here in the south.
In spite that fact however I am a Yankee at Heart!
I loved where I lived in upstate NY.
The mountains, lakes, fresh/crisp air...the atmosphere.
I love it all.
I'm happiest when those around me are happy; and there's no hiding the fact that I take great pleasure knowing I am the reason for their happiness.
I have an unusual sense of humor and enjoy acting a little bit silly sometimes.
I have a tendency to LOL in dead silence...
I crave excitement & emotional freedom & like to break the rules and take risks at times.
I am up for (just about) anything.
Something I have yet to do that is on my Must-Do-List is swim with the dolphins, I think that would be such an exquisite experience.
There are things I would still like to attempt and experience such as rock climbing, scuba diving, sky diving...stuff like that. Adventurous and daring! There's no denying that I may experience a little nervous tension, but it should come to rest, like when I am pushed out of the plane or off a cliff!!! :)
I have a deep desire to travel & see the world but I haven't found that special someone to enjoy my adventure(s) with.
I'm very intuitive & readily sense what others feel whether it's expressed or not.
I am a reliable & trust worthy person.
I am a very upfront person.
What you see is what you get.
I don't shy away from the truth, no matter how unpleasant.
I speak my mind I expect the same in return.
I admit I am highly caring, generous, nurturing & supportive to the emotional needs of other people. I've been told I "care" too much-is that possible? I do have a tendency to put others before my own needs. However, once I sense something is expected of me and/or I am being taken advantage of I tend to pull away. I do things for others out of the kindness of my heart-period. I want nothing in return but appreciation and respect.
I am described as intensely willful, zealous and dedicated. I am very open-minded & deeply curious at times. I have many aspirations.
I think a great deal about my career. I am an original thinker, capable of unique discoveries and innovations; that probably comes from having an analytical mind by nature.
I tend to ferret out the facts, especially if there is an element of mystery.
I am self-reliant, in fact "Independent" should be my middle name! Instinctively I am a fighter and an individualist who can stand-alone. I'm not content with superficial appearances. Kindness, consideration &
tenderness impress me more than any sort of honor the world can bestow. I do not conform to the standards that other people have set. Above all, I am an individual who does what I please regardless of customs and norms.
To know me is to ALWAYS remeber this, I admire those that are upfront and totally HONEST with me. I WILL respect you MORE if you tell me the truth (knowing it may hurt me), than lie to me to keep from hurting me. Eventually everything comes out; to me, betrayal is the ultimate deception-one that I REFUSE to tolerate.
Activities I ENJOY!
I have two younger siblings that have children. I love spending quality time with each of them. My oldest nephew is 9, he and I occasionally take road trips together-we have a blast! I'm so excited he is finally tall enough to ride the "cool" fun rides with me at the theme parks.
I love going to theme parks.
I love the out doors!
I take interest in activities such as, camping, fishing, mountain hikes, biking, swimming, jet skiing, wakeboarding, snow skiing, just to name a few. Oh wait, lets not forget CONCERTS! :)
I love sports-both watching and playing. I take a particular interest in watching both football and baseball (if Yankees are in playoffs).
I enjoy playing football (I can throw at least 23 yards-no that's not w/ a nerfball-LOL), baseball/softball, basketball...
I have a great jumper shot heehee : ) In addition I take pleasure in activates such as soccer, tennis, volleyball (I have a mean serve!), and I am always up for a round of golf, miniature golf that is.
I suppose I should admit upfront that I am extremely competitive so I am always up for a challenge! At times I may be a bit aggressive but it's all in fun. Hey, that doesn't mean I am good at everything I attempt-it's ok, we can laugh at my endeavor(s) together.
That's what its all about right? Having fun!
Lets see, in doors I like dancing, bowling, playing darts, air hockey, pool (not too good), racquetball...pillow fights...just about anything :)
On the flip side, I have an imaginative, inspired mind & have an aptitude for art and creative writing.
I like to write, attempt different projects, crafts etc, time permitting.I like art galleries and going to museums but it's hard to find someone with the same interest as my own (that are not tied up w/ obligations-married and/or have children) to go with.
