The band Sexy Party started a few years back with band members Chris Peskett (vocals), Lee Dube (bass), Lyle Mason (guitar), and Phil Lawrence (drums). We practiced every week for about 4 hours per session and never landed a steady gig somewhere other than playing the occassional acoustic night at East Side Mario's. A year or two into that, our drummer at the time, Phil Lawrence, decided to venture out on his own to Calgary. So instead of letting Sexy Party die, then bass player Lee Dube decided to buy a drum kit and amaze us with his talents. Then came the problem of finding a bass player (we went through more than one). For a short time, we added a second guitarist while Ryan played bass for us. The band name also changed for a very short while to "Last Call". Both only lasted a short time until the second guitarist hit the road (so did the new name) but Ryan did so well on the bass that he decided to stay. The reformed Sexy Party was now, and remained, the band members you see listed below. We would play the odd Stag and Doe, Christmas party, acoustic night at East Side Mario's, etc. The band abruptly came to an end when Lee Dube (drums) moved out west to Edmonton, Alb. and Lyle Mason (lead guitar) moved to Vaughan, Ont. But that wasn't before the band performed their last and most memorable show on July 28, 2006 dubbed "The Last Call with Sexy Party". Surrounded by friends and family alike, Sexy Party amazed the crowd with their stellar set list and high energy performance before ending the night with an emotional 14 minute version of Lynyard Skynyrd's "Freebird".
