I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Artist, thinker, writer. What will America do when China is the reigning Superpower? How is life going to change when Islam is offically the largest religion on the Planet or will it be Scientology? Who do we look up to and admire, who will be the great leaders? I don't admire Bush or Blair, though I understand the power they have and how they achieved it. I believe we should do all what we can to protect the environment, but I do not nessecarily buy all that is produced to support Green Politics. I want to live a healthy life, but on my own terms, not dictated to by a Nanny State or patronised by scientists who still don't have all the answers and are stabbing in the dark. I want salt, if I so please and fat because it can also be good for me, I dont want to be emaciated or obese. I believe that not all poverty is avoidable or fixable, and that one cannot always find a way out of it, but that does not mean that you should stop trying. Life is not all black and white, there is an entire colour wheel with infinite difficulties and solutions. Karma does not always work out the way it should.

My Interests

My world is Art, and not all art is beautiful, it is challenging at times, disturbing at others and can bring new meaning. I want to have a conversation with someone who will challenge my beliefs, someone who has morals which i find abhorent and with someone who has seen things i will not. I want to discover the truth and enjoy the journey.

I'd like to meet:

Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, Josophine Baker, Picasso, Marlene Dumas, Marchel DuChamp, Yoko Ono, Frida Kahlo, Stephen Hawkins, Hunter S. Thompson, anyone who has the balls to be differnet from the pack or try something new, Bohemits, artists, musicians, writers and anyone with a little intelligence and wit no matter their walk of life

Music:

Music should be more than background noise, it should make you feel euphoric, aggressive, calm and all the different ways you need. It is a soundtrack to your existence, and therefore the list is ever evolving and growing with many movements. What I listened to as a child will always stay with me but it has new meaning now, nostalgia will bring new associations and the music of my teenage years is not that of my later ones. I will always search out the music of inovaters, rebels and craftsmen from grand syphonies to jazz and punk through the ever changing face of modern music.

Movies:

Cinema which widens your view and changes opinions, beautiful, operatic, dark, elusive and illuminating. Japanese, Mexican, French or even Hollywood produced so long as it has intelligence and soul. Baz Lurhman, Luc Besson, Guillermo Del Torro,Tim Burton, Sophia Coppola, Danny Boyle, Timor Bekmambetov,Just Jaeckin,Kinji Fukasaku, Kaige Chen, Billy Wilder

Television:

Anything which has a point of view and is not just a hamogenised product churned out to sedate the masses. Cultural and itelligent, witty and sarcastic, sexy and cheap so long as there is something beyond the cardboard blandness of soap operas and reality television.

Books:

Hunter S. Tompson, Jack Kerouac,Lewis Carol's Alice Through The looking Glass, Maya Angelou,Shakespeare, Chaucer, James Joyce, all literary giants. The Sexual Life of Catherine M., William S. Burroughs,The Motorcycle Diaries, Gauguin's Skirt(excellent look @ his colonialism in tahiti)Douglas Adams and biographies of the wierd, creative and interesting souls who have populated this world.

Heroes:

The Suffragets, Inventors, great scientists, Freedom fighters, communists and capitalists, peacemakers, generals, those who have had not only the ability but also the drive to try something new, fight for what they believed in and if not always succeeding, at the very least leaving their mark. ..
