CRUSADE is compact, straight but versatile, unpolished but is never loosing control.
CRUSADEis the borderline between the extreme: starting at death metal, ending at hardcore, and back.
CRUSADE roams both worlds making trips in both directions.
CRUSADE´s home is nowhere, and that makes them unreckonable, hard to estimate but uncommon than anything else.
CRUSADE is just death angertainment.
CRUSADE was founded in 1997 and released their debut-album "Further Down" already in 1998.
The feedback from fans and magazines was positive, but then CRUSADE had to take several breaks of up to 12 months due to some line-up changes.
While being active, CRUSADE played a lot of gigs within Austria, did an interview for a Belgian television documentary about the first crusade and they contributed a song for the soundtrack of an independent movie.
In May of 2004, CRUSADE released their highly anticipated second record as a EP called "Loathed Resistance". It was recorded in their own rehearsal room so the sound quality couldn't conform to the high expectations of the band, and as well could't represent the impact of the songs, which became CRUSADE´s trademark at their live gigs and made them so unique.
In July 2004, the most memorable event happened in CRUSADE´s history: the band was announced as local support act for Fear Factory and their vocalist Burton C. Bell even joined the band on stage to perform a classic Fear Factory song. (W.O.E.)
Watch this performanceThe current line-up exists since October 2004, and is the one with the highest degree of devastation in the band history. New, more powerful songs were composed and a lot of gigs and festivals played in Austria and abroad, which brought CRUSADE the reputation as a fairly good live band.
With a couple of brand new songs, CRUSADE entered the recording studio in May 2006, to fulfill the high expectations for sound quality and to catch the impact of their live-power on CD. After a long time recording and refining the proper sound "Resilience" was born, with the assignment to
"break your neck" over your home audio system...
